Basic Rules

In this blog, I have told you about the problems with typical treatments for Acid GERD. I have also told you of food combining as a way to deal naturally with Acid GERD. In this article, you will read the basics of food combining as a way to get rid of Acid GERD.

The first thing to remember is to not combine foods that are rich in carbohydrates (cereals, pasta, rice, potatoes, etc.) with foods that are rich in protein (dairy products, meats, fish, etc.) This is the first rule because it is fundamental in order to help your stomach to process food faster.

The two enzymes that are used to digest these two different types of foods neutralize each other when they are in the stomach at the same time. Since they neutralize each other, the food stays longer in the stomach and the stomach needs to release even more enzymes into the body (both alkaline and acidic.)

For example, that is why you will find Acid GERD coming up when you eat a hamburger with fries or pizza. These foods are not good Acid GERD foods because they have protein-rich foods and carbohydrate-rich foods.

A much better solution is to eat a big steak with green vegetables. Green vegetables are great because they are digested very easily due to the fact that they are water-rich foods. So you see, you can still eat your big peace of meal if you choose to; just make sure you combine it with the right product.

Also, eat fruit by itself. This is so because fruits go very rapidly through the digestive system. The problem with eating fruits after a meal is that it will sit in the stomach for a long time and it will get fermented producing toxins that will be assimilated by your body.

Another point to remember is to make sure that you chew your meals thoroughly. This is important because the body will need to release fewer enzymes if it needs to break down smaller chunks of food. Additionally, the food will stay a lot less time in the stomach.

In the same way, drinking few fluids during a meal or right after a meal will greatly help you get rid of Acid GERD. This is so because fluids dissolve the strength of the enzymes being released by the stomach. When this happens, the stomach is forced to release even more enzymes into the body.

As you can see, you can get rid of Acid GERD in a natural way that makes sense to you. If you want a more in-depth description of how food combining works, you can go to the site that helped me get rid of Acid GERD for good.
